The Honors Convocation ceremony will recognize seniors graduating with Academic Honors, the recipients of the Student Awards, Service Learning Awards and the Scholar-Athlete Award.

Students graduating with Academic Honors will receive an Honors cord that they can wear on Commencement day. If students are not able to attend the Honors Convocation, they can pick up their Honors Cord at the CSUMB Bookstore between May 1st through May 18th. An invitation letter will be sent in March to all students whose Academic Honors eligibility has been verified.

Academic Honors are awarded to students achieving an overall grade-point average of 3.5 and higher, Academic Honors are based on completion of at least three semesters in residence at CSUMB. Second Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree candidates are not eligible for Academic Honors.

To view your GPA:

       - Login to MyCSUMB

       - Login to Student CMS

       - Click on the Self Service link

       - Click on Student Center

       - Click on the Degree Progress Section, under Academic History

       - Under Report Type choose Advisement and hit Go

If your overall GPA is 3.5 or higher and you meet the criteria above (as of Fall 2011), you are graduating with honors at commencement.
